On November 30th, independent radio station Xtreme104FM held its 3rd annual All Star Music Awards.

The awards, which takes place in New York City, recognizes rising men and women from all walks of life in the underground music and entertainment world.

With nearly over 30 categories, nominees have about a month to get the votes in and is later announced at the ceremony.

The overall concept is great. It allows artists to really engage with their fans to get their voices heard and vote for their favorite artist to win.

Creators of the ASMA’s say the awards ceremony was created to bring recognition to the worlds unsigned music artists, producers, clothing designers, videographers, models, comedians, actors, video directors, DJ’s and media outlets.

Industry professionals and fans come from around the world to support the ASMA’s. Each winner receives a nice trophy along with the accolade.

This year, the star-studded event took place at Santos Party House located in downtown Manhattan. The beginning was dazzled with a red carpet event allowing the artists to get a moment of shine as press took the shots.

Hosted by DJ XXXOTIC Mami, the night was filled with exciting and memorable moments.

During the event, artists hit the stage with performances, and some nominees left a not-to-forget memory with a cypher.

Some highlights of the night include, rapper and featured artist in Unheard Voices One Mic, One Night Showcase, A.R. Stylez, winning best artist website and best male rapper of the year.

Rapper Stable received some accolades by taking home Best Indie Label of the Year for his label, Stable Musik Group LLC.

Upcoming singing sensation, Mr. Deacon won male pop artist of the year.  Buzz Factor of the year and Album of the year, both pretty hard categories, was taken this year by Brooklyn rapper, HollyWoodYSA.

The All Star Music Awards provides a space for lovers of the arts and entertainment to gather together to share their love of the craft.

There are not too many creative spaces that allows the real voices to be heard. But the ASMAs is one of the them. We’re sure this awards show will be around for years to come.
