Relic presents Breathe Easy off the 13th floor album produced by Fresh Kils.
Known for his production and collaborations with Canadian rap icons Shad, Thrust, Ghettosocks, Moka Only and more, Toronto native Relic again hits his audience with a unique brand of writing, penning an album with various themes. From his confession of being the school bully on “The Least of These” to the question of how to keep his faith while battling his addictions on “Losing Love”, this is definitely not your average hip hop record. It should also be noted that there are NO featured artists on any of the 13 tracks. A bold move for up-and-comer Relic, who strangely defies hip hop norms despite the warm familiarity of his NYC influenced rhyme stylings.
“We really felt like we could push our artistic boundaries here… I know it’s ambitious to try and bridge the gap between true school puritanism and modern hip hop, but we love them both. Our way was to explore some new places with the music while staying true to ourselves.” says Rel. “This is just the tip of the ice-burg, a new beginning for both of us really…” Adds Fresh Kils
