Urban hymnist Sir the Baptist drops the visuals for “(Cleflo) Almighty Dollar” featuring Twista, Jack Red, and Lili K. Fresh off the release of his highly successful debut single “Raise Hell”, his second offering takes aim at prosperity gospel evangelists and their deceptive theology, making direct reference to the controversial pastor who rallied his followers to crowd-fund a $65 million private jet.

The R&;B/soul crooner (and occasional rapper) typically borrows from hip-hop and gospel traditions, but credits the African chants on Paul Simon’s Graceland album as the original inspiration for his latest single.

Prosperity gospel and fraudulent evangelism are currently hot topics of discussion, even prompting Grammy winning gospel artist Kirk Franklin to pen his own op-ed in response to Creflo Dollar’s infamous “Project G650” campaign.

Most recently, televangelists were satirized by comedian John Oliver on HBO’s Last Week Tonight. Even Oprah Winfrey’s new scripted series Greenleaf will touch on the highly controversial themes surrounding megachurch communities.

Now with the premiere of “(Creflo) Almighty Dollar”, Sir offers his own poignant commentary on the matter: http://smarturl.it/SirCreflo
“(Cleflo) Almighty Dollar” serves as the second single for Sir’s forthcoming debut full-length album, PK: PREACHER’S KID.
