Nashville-based trio BASECAMP released their standout debut EP in late 2013, and recently announced their forthcoming album, Greater Than, with the debut of its lead single, “Watch My Back.”
The smooth electro&b sounds that attracted fans to the trio initially are on full display with their latest song about bracing for not knowing what a significant other wants.
“I originally started the song out in the desert with my friend Justin (Myrryrs—Body High),” BASECAMP’s Aaron Miller told Complex over email.
“I think from that point to its final iteration, we went through 3 or 4 versions of the song before landing on this one.
The sounds we developed during that process went on to set the tone for the rest of the EP.”
